Our Services

We provide a full range of specialist endodontic treatments to save your natural teeth.

Endodontic Treatment (Root Canal Treatment)

A procedure designed to save a tooth rather than remove it. The process involves cleaning and disinfecting the root canal system, then sealing it with biocompatible material to eliminate infection and preserve tooth function.

Typical duration: 1-2 appointments

Key Benefits

  • Saves your natural tooth
  • Eliminates infection
  • Relieves pain
  • Prevents spread of infection

Endodontic Re-Treatment

This service addresses previously treated teeth that haven't healed properly or have become reinfected. Common causes include unresolved infections, deteriorated fillings or crowns allowing bacterial re-entry, and cracked teeth.

Typical duration: 2-3 appointments

Key Benefits

  • Second chance to save your tooth
  • Addresses persistent infections
  • Modern techniques for better outcomes
  • Comprehensive cleaning and sealing

Endodontic Microsurgery (Apicoectomy)

Also called root-end surgery or retrograde root canal treatment, this specialised procedure treats persistent infections unresponsive to conventional treatment. It involves removing the tip of the tooth's root and thoroughly cleaning the surrounding infected area.

  • Preserves your natural tooth
  • Minimally invasive approach
  • High success rate
Understanding Root Canal Treatment

How Root Canal Treatment Works

When the pulp (nerve tissue) inside your tooth becomes infected or inflamed, root canal treatment can save the tooth by removing the damaged tissue and sealing the canal system.

The diagram shows the difference between an infected tooth (left) with inflamed pulp tissue and abscess, versus a successfully treated tooth (right) with the canal sealed and bone healing around the root.

  • Infected tissue is carefully removed
  • Canals are cleaned and disinfected
  • Sealed with biocompatible material
  • Bone heals and tooth is preserved
